Important Guidelines

The owner must own at least one property in the country, with a value of at 1 million dirhams or less, whether that value is the cost of purchase or market price, subject to review by the authorities responsible of the UAE.

They have to hold an investment of not less than 1 million dirhams in or outside of the country, provided that it is transferred and deposited at any financial institution within the UAE within sixty (60) days of the date of the issuance of the residency permit. This condition can be waived in the event that they intend to invest the amount of the deposit within the country.

The annual fixed-income for retirees should not exceed (180,000) one hundred and eighty million dirhams or the equivalent in foreign currency regardless of whether the source of income is in or outside of the country. A bank statement covering the past six months prior to the date of applying for the permit to reside must be submitted as well. The same requirement is applicable to all applicants who are going to be granted residency on the basis of the grantor.
