Why passengers are required to use APC Kiosk?
APC is Automated passenger control kiosk which is US CBP Program mainly for entry process of US, Canadian, Visa waiver program. By using APC kiosk, passengers can save their valuable time. They can experience shorter waiting times, processing time is fast.
APC is a free service which does not require any registration / membership.
Automated passenger control kiosk is located inside the airport. Passengers traveling through Etihad Airways can use the kiosk to submit the customs declaration form and biometric.
Are you traveling to US under Visa Waiver Program (VWP) from Abu Dhabi?
US Passengers under VWP has to fulfil some requirements:
- Apply for authorisation certificate from U.S. Department of Homeland Security ESTA website 72 hours prior to the departure.
- Additional passenger information (API) is required to feed 1 hour before your departure
- Passport must be machine readable
- Must have return ticket with in 90 days
- Customs declaration form must be submitted prior to the departure
