Step by step procedures to apply for a license
- When establishing your Baqala business in the UAE, you must have an Emirati partner.
- To obtain permission from the Department of Economic Development (DED), management must provide a complete list of all products sold at your store.
- You’ll need to set up a proper billing system. The UAE government has mandated that any things purchased from your Baqala must be accompanied by a physical invoice.
- All of the items in your Baqala must be properly priced. The government of the United Arab Emirates has made this a required requirement.
- Signage and licenses must use the same trade name. There should be no distinctions in Baqala’s name.
- Every grocery item you want to sell needs to be registered with the government as a trademark.
