Procedure to open an account with Citibank, Abu Dhabi, UAE?
- If you want to keep your balance below USD 200,000, you must visit a Citi location with the necessary paperwork, and a Citi Representative will help you open an account.
- You can qualify for a Citigold or Citi Private Client account that focuses only on your wealth management needs if you want to keep a balance above USD 200,000.
- The bank will examine your documentation and application. Depending on the kind of account you’re opening, they might also perform a credit check. They can ask for further documents as well.
- After accepting your application, you will receive account information, including the account number.

- Bank Statement (issued within last 3 months)
- Current Tenancy Contract copy / Ejari copy (showing local address) or a title deed (in the name of the prospect)
