Types of Visa
1. Entry Permit
- The candidate is now able to reside and work in Uganda. This license is always sponsored by a business or organization that is required to have an organization code.
- If accepted, a letter of permission will be sent as an attachment to the specified email address.
- Applicants from countries outside Uganda (those that frequently require visas) will need to submit an application for a visa in order to enter Uganda because a travel letter does not provide permission to do so.
2. Student Pass
- For the duration of the permission, the holder may reside and pursue their education in Uganda. It is always supported by a business or institution with a strict code of conduct.
- Students from outside of Uganda who are applying for the first time should include a copy of their prior school’s ID card.
3. Dependant Pass
- A dependent pass is given to anyone who is unable to support themselves due to age, disability, or other handicap and is reliant on another person for support, including their spouse.
- To the immigration officer at the port of entry, present a valid travel document with a minimum validity of six months.
4. Special pass
- This pass gives a person a reasonable opportunity to apply for and obtain an entry permit or to complete any immigration formalities. It also allows a person to enter Uganda temporarily for the purpose of receiving medical treatment, finishing a brief contract with a maximum duration of five months, or fulfilling any short-term contracts.
