Procedure to apply for Turkmenistan Visa from Abu Dhabi, UAE
- The first step is to obtain an acceptance letter (commonly known as an Invitation Letter, LOI) from the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan (SMST), which guarantees the issuance of a visa regardless of its form.
- According to established practice, the counterpart (of the visa beneficiary) in Turkmenistan submits a request for LOI to the Turkmen State Migration Service.
- This is true for all sorts of visas. For example, a business partner in Turkmenistan can apply for a letter of intent (LOI) for a business visa applicant.
The following are examples of applications for Letters of Intent (LOI) that could be presented to the Turkmen Embassy in the United Arab Emirates:
- the applicant is a diplomatic or service passport holder
- request from the UAE Government Authorities
- application is for a transit visa.
- the applicant of parents is the holder of a Turkmenistan national passport.
- Once the LOI is received, the visa may be stamped at any Turkmen Embassy or Consulate General abroad, or upon arrival at Turkmen border crossing locations, including international airports.
- The document, along with a copy, must be presented within three months of the date of the UAE MOFAIC stamp. Please make an appointment to submit the paper.
