Procedure to apply for Hellenic Republic Greece Visa from Abu Dhabi, UAE
- The Consular Office of the Embassy of Greece in Abu Dhabi outsourced the collecting of visa applications and biometric data to VFS Global in order to assist visa applicants.
- The additional fee for the service is 80 AED, and it is paid directly to VFS Global.
- Submit the Visa application form .
- After filling out the application and booking an appointment for Biometric.
- Pay the fees and visit the embassy.
Documents Required
- Passport, preferably with two blank pages. The passport needs to have been issued in the last ten years.
- A recent photograph.
- If the applicant’s fingerprints haven’t been taken in the VIS within the last 59 months, they must be.
- Applicants must have emergency medical coverage, hospitalization coverage, and repatriation coverage.
- Proof of funds

Types of Visa?
1. Short Stay Visa
- Unless they are nationals from nations that are not on the list of nations with the requirement to carry a visa in order to cross external borders for stays in the Schengen Area, foreign nationals who wish to visit Greece must be in possession of a valid residence or work visa of the country they are applying from.
2. Tourist visa
- You can spend a little amount of time in the Schengen region if you have a tourist visa. Applications that are confusing, unsigned, or incomplete will not be accepted.
3. Business purposes
- People traveling for business objectives, such as meetings and transactions, conferences, and events, are granted a short-stay visa.
4. Medical treatment
- Anyone wishing to travel to Greece for medical treatment is eligible for this visa.
5. Transit visa
- You can wait for a connecting flight in the airport’s international terminal with an airport transit visa. The Schengen region is not accessible with this visa.
6. Long Stay National Visa
- You can enter Greece with a national “D” visa in order to apply for a residence permit; the application must be made in person at the Hellenic Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
