Procedure to apply for a Portuguese Visa from Abu Dhabi, UAE
- In one of the Portuguese Visa Application Centers in the United Arab Emirates, with locations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, you can apply for a Schengen visa or a national visa.
- Before visiting the VSF in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, you must fill out the online form and print it.

- Pay the fees and submit the application.
Documents required
- Documents issued in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Iraq must be validated by the Portuguese Embassy in Abu Dhabi, which has jurisdiction over these three nations in the region before they can be used in Portugal.
- Prior to legalization, the relevant Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) must certify the documents, at which point the Embassy can verify the veracity of the signature on the MoFA stamp.
- Portuguese ID card, original passport, or passport copy verified by appropriate authorities (if applicable)
- Document evidence is used to clarify the attestation’s aim.
- If others are representing you, you must have an authorization letter.
- Emirates Id
- A valid copy of the passport.
- Completed application form.

Types of visa
1. Visa A – Airport Transit Visa
- Permits travelers to change flights within an airport’s international section without entering the Schengen zone.

- Granted visas that permit transit and brief stays within the Schengen region. For each semester, such visas have a maximum validity of 90 days and permit one, two, or numerous entries.
3. Business Visa
- Should have an invitation letter from Portugal.
