Procedure to apply for Hungary Visa from Abu Dhabi, UAE
The Schengen Area welcomed Hungary on December 21, 2007. From that point, visas and residence permits issued by a member state of the Schengen Agreement are also valid for Hungary, and visas and residence permits issued by the government of Hungary are often valid throughout the entire Schengen Area.

- By joining the Joint Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi, the Embassy of Hungary in Abu Dhabi has finished outsourcing the Schengen visa application process to VFS Global.
- Please be aware that residency permit requests can only be made in person by appointment at the Hungarian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

- After completing your visa application, you must make an appointment at a visa application center to have your fingerprints and photo taken. The term “biometric information” refers to this.
- Pay the fees
- Submit the visa application.
Document required
- Two passport-sized pictures with a white background
- Emirate Id
- Copy of valid Passport
- A statement of NOC from the applicant’s sponsor or employer.
- A bank statement that has been authenticated (6 months)
- Each applicant’s passport and visa for residency must be valid for at least six months.
- Travel insurance copy.

Processing time of short-term visa
- You can submit an application for a short-term visa, the Hungarian government has 15 days to decide.
Types of short-term visas
A visa is permission to enter Hungary for a brief visit lasting no longer than 90 days in any 180-day period as a tourist, businessperson, participant in a conference, cultural event, or for airport transit at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport.
