  • Proof of bank statement
  • Have a valid travel document for at least 6 months
  • Have a recognized travel document that is valid in Angola

Types of visa

1.  Transit Visa

  • It is granted to foreigners who must enter Angolan territory to achieve their destination (stopover)—specific requirements: An entry visa and a ticket to the destination country.

2. Working Visa

  • It is granted to foreigners who travel to Angola to perform remunerated professional activity for the State or any other firm established in the nation, but exclusively to the State entity or company that hired him.

3. Temporary Staying Visa

This visa is issued to visitors who want to visit Angola for one of the following reasons:

  • mission in favor of a religious institution
  • scientific research works
  • humanitarian reasons
  • accompany a family member with a study, medical treatment, privileged, or employment visa
  • as a family member of the holder of a valid residence permit
  • as the spouse of a national citizen.

4. Short Staying Visa

  • It is provided to foreigners who seek to enter Angola urgently for a period of no more than 7 days and does not allow them to set up their residence or engage in any remunerated activity.

5. Medical Treatment Visa

  • It is issued to foreigners seeking medical treatment in one of Angola’s governmental or private hospital units.

6. Residence Visa

  • It is awarded to foreigners who seek to establish their permanent residence in Angola and allows the bearer to engage in remunerated activities.

7. Tourist Visa

  • It is issued to foreigners who seek to visit Angola for leisure, sports, or cultural purposes. The bearers cannot fix their residence or perform any remunerated work.

8. Study Visa

  • It is issued to foreigners who desire to enter the national territory as students, both in public and private educational institutes, with the goal of obtaining an academic or professional degree, as well as to foreigners who go to Angola to attend stages at public or private companies.

9. Privileged Visa

  • It is awarded to foreigners who are entrepreneurs, legal representatives of existing businesses, or who intend to invest in Angola under the Private Investment Law.

10. Diplomatic, Official, and Courtesy Visa

  • It is provided to foreigners with a Diplomatic passport, service passport, special passport, or Ordinary passport who wish to travel to Angola on a Diplomatic, service, or official visit.
