Procedure to apply and obtain Emirates ID from Al Ain

  1. Fill out the application form online through the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) website.
  2. Schedule an appointment to submit your application and have your biometric data (fingerprint and photograph) taken at an ICA customer happiness center in Al Ain.
  3. Bring the required documents to your appointment, including your passport, residency visa, and a passport-sized photo.
  4. Pay the applicable fees, which vary depending on the validity period of your Emirates ID.
  5. Receive a reference number that you can use to track the status of your application online or through the ICA mobile app.
  6. Once your Emirates ID is ready, you can either collect it in person or have it delivered to your registered address for an additional fee.

Documents Required

  1. Original and valid passport
  2. Valid UAE residency visa
  3. A passport-sized photograph with a white background
  4. An application form filled out online through the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) website
  5. An Emirates ID renewal form (if applicable)

To apply for an Emirates ID in Al Ain, you can visit one of the authorized typing centers or Emirates ID service centers in the city. Some of the centers that offer Emirates ID services in Al Ain include:

Cost

  • AED 100: Card issuance fee for five years.
  • AED 200 dirhams: fees for issuing a card for ten years.
  • AED50 dirhams: a service fee
  • AED 30 dirhams: Typing Center fee
  • 150 dirhams: fees for urgent service, which are carried out at customer happiness centers

How to receive it?

  • ICP will send you a text message informing you of the application’s status and anticipated delivery date. Within 48 hours of filing the replacement application, an ID card will be issued.
  • The ID card will be sent to those who requested the express service within 24 hours after submitting a replacement application.
  • After learning that the card is available from ICP, get in touch with Emirates Post to get it.

How to renew?

  • An expired ID card may only be renewed within 30 days of the expiration date; else, late fees will be assessed.
  • It should be noted that the Emirates ID holder must request for its renewal when it expires. You will receive a message through SMS from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) asking you to renew your ID card.
  • You can apply:ID card renewal service at the website of ICP, through ICP App on Google PlayApp Store, and Huawei, or through an accredited typing centre.
