ABU DHABI, March 9, 2024, Wednesday AM The Saudi Super Cup will occur in Abu Dhabi on April 8 and 11 in two stadiums spread throughout the emirate. This will be the first time the competition has been held in the Middle East outside of Saudi Arabia.
Experience Abu Dhabi, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi’s destination brand (DCT Abu Dhabi) led the bidding process for hosting.
Al-Ittihad Club and Al Wehda FC will play the first match of the three-match competition on April 8 at 21:00 at Al-Nahyan Stadium. Al Hilal SFC and Al-Nassr FC will play the second match at 23:30 at Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium. The winners will compete in the final on April 11 at the same location.
Football legends Cristiano Rolando and Karim Benzema, along with local talents like Salem Al Dawsari and Abderrazak Hamdallah, will compete for the prize cup in this competition.
Travellers from the GCC, the Middle East, and beyond may see some of the best football players in the region play in the emirate during the Saudi Super Cup, the newest sporting and entertainment event added to Abu Dhabi’s “Back-to-Back” calendar. The event falls on the same day as the public holiday for Eid Al Fitr.
