Abu Dhabi airport renames itself, and airlines offer special deals on Dh59 travel tickets.

In honor of the official renaming of the Abu Dhabi International Airport as Zayed International Airport, airlines are celebrating with time-limited special offers, including ticket prices starting at less than Dh60.
The announcement of the name change in October of last year was made in accordance with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s instructions.

The airport will be renamed after Terminal A opens in November 2023. One of the biggest airport terminals in the world is the brand-new Terminal A. It can accommodate 79 aircraft at any given time and host 45 million passengers annually, increasing the aviation sector’s contribution to Abu Dhabi’s diversified economy.

Etihad Airways has introduced a special deal for travelers leaving from Abu Dhabi to specific locations in honor of the momentous event.

“We take immense pride in our home, Abu Dhabi, which is the perfect hub from which to explore the world. We’re forever grateful to the vision of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and proudly join in these celebrations as our home airport is renamed in his honour,” Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer, Etihad Airways, said.

For those planning to travel between February 19 and June 15, 2024, the special deal is valid from February 9 to February 14. Travelers to Bangkok can reserve discounted tickets for as little as Dh2,490 in Economy Class and Dh7,990 in Business Class. For Dh4,490 and Dh14,990 in Economy and Business, respectively, guests can take a quick flight to Osaka.

Beginning on March 31, Etihad will begin offering flights to Boston, a new destination. This means that visitors will be among the first to visit the well-known US city and may take advantage of incredible discount prices, which start at Dh3,490.

Travelers who want to see Europe may reserve flights to Copenhagen, Munich, and Lisbon for as little as Dh2,490 for Economy Class and Dh11,990 for Business Class.

During the festive weekend, presents, exclusive events, and live entertainment will be provided to passengers at the airport.

The Terminal offers unique places for families as well as specialized check-in desks for Etihad Economy guests. Additionally, guests travelling in Business and First Class can take advantage of exclusive facilities for an expedited, first-class experience. Modern biometric self-bag drop facilities are provided for any visitor who wants to benefit from a quicker check-in process.
