Because a Baqala is a physical business, you’ll need to find a location where you can open one. All norms and regulations connected to cleanliness and protection, such as pest management and weather safety, must be observed according to the law. 1. Branding and logo

2. Physical location

  • The telephone booth must be easily accessible to the general public.

  • Every item in your Baqala needs to be priced separately. The government of the United Arab Emirates has made this a requirement.

10. Trademark

  • When comparing your trademark name to signage and licensing, it must be the same. There should be no distinctions between such names.

What are the rules and regulations?

  • The shop entryway must always be kept clean and free of any shelving units or exhibited objects.
  • Grocery store owners must avoid piling saleable items too high on the shelves.
  • It is not permissible to hang saleable items or any other promotional material, directly or indirectly, from the ceiling or attach it to walls or fittings.

  • Grocery stores must hire a trained pest control contractor who has been approved by the Abu Dhabi Center of Waste Management to conduct routine monitoring and treatment.
  • At the store level, records of visits and discoveries must be kept.
  • The grounds of the grocery store must always be kept free of insects, rodents, and other pests.
  • Inside the business, water gallons must not obstruct pathways, restrict people’s movement, or prevent safe access to displayed products.
