Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi: Location, Timing, Cost, Attractions
Al Qana’s waterfront is set to bring a new project called Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi. It will be home to over 2,000 butterflies of over 40 species along with an array of flora and fauna.
The first-of-its-kind facility in Abu Dhabi, it will be located near the National Aquarium and is set to open its doors next year.
The climate-controlled interior design will feature three distinctly landscaped zones:
- Asia,
- America and the
- Eden Café.
There will be lush tropical gardens inspired by the unique ecosystems of Asia, Central and South America. Along with the breathtaking butterfly and insect species from these regions, the Eden Cafe features a cascading waterfall, tranquil koi pond and white peacocks. The cafe will offer guests the opportunity to have high tea with butterflies.
The facility is designed to engage people of all ages in learning about butterflies, insect species and other essential pollinators such as bees.
- Dwarf bees are among the highlights.
- Gardens will be open for school field trips.
- Photography classes are also planned to be introduced.
The project is slated for construction in early 2024 and is expected to open next year. It is also expected to operate daily from 10 am to 10 pm.
