Procedure to apply and obtain a new Sri Lankan Passport

• In addition to the standard requirements for applying for a new Sri Lankan passport, applicants in this category may submit applications to the Embassy with additional documents.
• Immediately following the loss of the passport, the applicant is needed to file a police report for the missing key at the neighborhood police station.
• The application must be accompanied by a police report and a letter from the UAE Immigration Department that has been translated into English.
• Applications for a new passport will not be considered without a copy of the previously lost passport, which is a must.

Documents Required

• Duly filled passport application-I.E.36_A  K Form
• A copy of the lost passport
• Police report with its English translation
• Original Birth Certificate with copies.
• Original Sri Lankan national ID with copies.
• Three color photographs were taken within three months, passport size 3.5×4.5 cm.
